On, who learned to cook in Thailand at the knees of her mother, has been with the restaurant since it started serving Thai food over ten years ago. It is because of her experience and skills that we are able to maintain the delivery of the high quality food which the Blue Orchid, the authentic Thai restaurant in Caloundra is renowned for.

On, together with our other talented and experienced Thai chefs create authentic Thai dishes using fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. Exotic sauces and flavours intermingle with tangy aromas creating an exciting taste journey. The kind of taste journey that is becoming increasingly hard to find in Thai restaurants on the Sunshine Coast.

Chefs at the Blue Orchid Thai Restaurant use only the freshest of ingredients and are constantly searching and using more local produce. They use only the best products and ingredients: yearling grain fed beef, genuine lamb from Victoria or Flinders Island, genuine pork fillets, accredited organic chicken, and the best king prawns which are available to Thai Restaurants in Caloundra from a local seafood supplier. All vegetables are purchased from local markets. Other authentic Thai ingredients are imported from Thailand.

At other times chefs from the Blue Orchid have been asked to demonstrate their skills at festivals and exhibitions throughout Queensland. Always a very popular event
